What's this?
Why, it's the new book Quick to Knit: Great Gifts (from Publications International )with my little scarf pattern inside! I'm starting to feel a bit boastful- there have been an awful lots of designs come out lately. You'd think I'd get used to it, but I don't! It's always a thrill.
Here's a better picture of the capelet, now dry and capable of being modeled:
I think I like it! And something new I started last night:
The pattern is Ruffles from Scarf Style (I have gotten so much use out of that book!) and the yarn is Nashua Handknits Wooly Stripes, color Citrus. The pattern is so intoxicatingly simple, yet cool looking. I'm having trouble leaving it alone.

Congrats Amy! You deserve to be able to show off. Your designs are gorgeous. Kepp the pics coming, they inspire me to keep knitting and sharing.
See you tonight.

Congratulations on the book! Big stuff, and it's a great pattern, to boot!
I love the ruffles pattern too - I'm working it in Rowan Tapestry.
Not showing off, sharing your excitement at being recognised for your talents. For those of us who live outside of North America in the knitting wastelands, we'll never see most of what you have published in real life, so it's nice to see it on your blog.
That is a fun scarf! Funny but I thought of you today. Peanut's getting a kitchen from Santa. Melissa & Doug have a wooden sushi set. So cute!
