I'm in!

Today I got a letter from the Professional Knitwear Designers Guild letting me know I've been accepted as an Associate Member. How nice! I applied a few weeks ago--you have to send in a pattern you have written along with a large swatch, photo of the finished item, and a resume. You then have 2 years to work on becoming eligible for Professional membership, which basically entails having at least 3 designs published in at least 2 different commercial publications. This is totally what I want to be doing, and since they offer support, contacts, and mentorship along the way I thought I would apply.

Lisa,
Congrats on the membership!
I'm also on the knitU list and read about your new blog on there when you posted that you had just started it a few weeks ago. Well, I started mine a few months ago and for the life of me I can't figure out how to add links, change things around and basically make it look good. I've tried their help button but I'm thinking because I'm more of a visual person I just don't get what they're telling me to do. Your blog looks great! If you have any tips for another new blogger, give me a holler.
Happy Knitting.

Lisa, That is wonderful. I would love to become a member. Have you been published before? Okay, perhaps I'll read your blog for that answer, sorry :)!!

I'm designing a sweater right now for myself of which I ripped out once and now I'm starting all over again.
