The Aran Lives (and fanciness too)

Yes, it lives- my long suffering TKGA Level 3 aran. I am totally determined to work on it, and since it's a 3 day weekend for me (even though I have a ton of stuff to do for work and the house is a wreck) I think I can rationalize a day for just knitting, right? Knowing me it may turn into more than just one day, but Hubbo usually bails me out on the housework in those cases!

Plus...

An extremely unusual circumstance indeed- me all dressed up. Hubbo and I got free tickets to the fancy black tie preview at the Auto Show last night. I drank lots of champagne and picked out a few new cars for myself (ha!) Joking aside, it was nice for once to go out, you know, with adults, and talk to, you know, adults.

My SIL (another knit blogger) was there last night too! I'm in "the industry" but way too low on the totem pole to ever get invited to/get tickets to a black tie event. Glad you had fun!!

Just popping in to say hi! Oh, wow, your Aran looks beautiful! You are quite the accomplished knitter. I've seen the requirements for level 1 and I'm not sure I could do even that! And look at you - level 3! wtg!

Your Aran sweater is beautiful. I hope that you had a fun time being out with adults. I know what you mean by that.

Amy - I'm SO jealous of your trip to the AutoShow charity preview! It's on my list of things to do before I die. You looked just beautiful! Way to go on the 31 lbs!
